Zara Basics Not So Basic Fall Favs

Zarapics

It’s no secret that one of my FAVORITE spots to shop is Zara. I have been wearing this affordable brand since I was introduced to it while attending high school abroad. I was so excited when they started opening stores in the US! I have put together some of my favorite Fall basic but not so basic picks that will carry you over to winter from their most recent collection.  I just want to emphasize that these are all affordable and realistic pieces that we can all incorporate into our wardrobes.

zara sweater

Nothing is better than a  neutral cozy sweater that pairs well with literally everything in your wardrobe. The open knit design elevates the look of the sweater. What is also great is that design will allow color to come through when you are layering it over other pieces in colder temps.

Hair Accessories have made such a statement for summer and most definitely will be in full force for fall. This classic three-piece set perfect for adding some gilded goodness to your tresses. Wear them individually or as a set!

plaidpants

High waisted leggings that will go just as easily from day to night,  as it will be from fall to winter with just one simple change of a shoe. Love that these leggings are not your average leggings but can be worn as easily as your basic black pair. Imagine how they will look with ballet flats or tucked into a gorgeous pair of suede boots?!

coat2

You can never go wrong with a wrap coat, this classic style is as versatile as it gets! Wear it open or belted on cooler days. I just love the 3/4 length, sits just at your hip, which makes the length perfect for wearing over winter cardigans and sweaters. Let’s be real there is nothing worse than when someone’s sweater hangs out of a short coat, sooo sloppy!

Multi-colored bags are the way to go for fall, they add some color and elevate any look. This particular tote has a handle and a crossbody strap that makes it easy to wear, and you get two bags out of one.  Realistically we all want a bag that’s not too precious that we worry about every second, but we want something to look good right? This bag has it all it’s convenient, roomy and stylish these are all key ingredients that make all handbag dreams come true!

dressz.jpg

V neck tunic style dress with balloon sleeves with cuffs is perfect for staying comfy and looking good. So many ways to style this not so basic, basic. Here are a few examples:

  • add a belt
  • layer under with a turtleneck or cami
  • pair it with leggings

bootsz

Can never go wrong with a pair of neutral booties, they are timeless and never go out of style. These are multifunctional and comfortable, wear them with dresses, skirts leggings, and pants. The side cut out, buckle and embellishment all add an elevated look which is why they are so versatile.

And to boot (see what I did there ..lol) they are part of a new collection called: JOIN LIFE
Care for planet: Leather tanned using the most sustainable methods.
These products were made with certification from Leather Working Group, using renewable energy and technology that reduces water use.

There you have it, my friends, some of my top pieces that anyone can wear on any day, nothing crazy expensive or outrageous. Styles than can add to your wardrobe to extend it and will have more use than for just one occasion.  If you don’t like Zara or its out of your budget, use this as a shopping guide at other stores as well. If you follow all key elements that compose each item you will be able to replicate the look and use.

XO,

JULIA
